FRENCH LAW

All the laws to know when prospecting as well as property and property law and a lot of other things ...
Because if you thought that to "detect" it was only knowing how to use a metal detector well ... it's a bit missed! In reality the use of a metal detector in France (as elsewhere elsewhere) closely affects areas as varied as prehistory, history, numismatics art, property law or the law related to private or public property.
Because actually using a metal detector is not a trivial, trivial act, much less any activity as what we can be led to discover is different. So we will try to answer the questions often asked by users who are often ill-informed in these areas, recurring questions if there are any. Thus the use of metal detectors like any device capable of detecting metallic objects is regulated by laws such as law 89-900, the law of 1941, the Heritage Code and with regard to the ownership of things discovered, we cite articles 552, 716, 717 and 2279 of the civil code. Without forgetting the law of December 3 & 1913 which specifies the perimeter of protection of an archaeological site (500m).
What is the so-called Leisure Detection: the search for a recently lost object or the search for family goods or pipes, pollution control To whom belong the discovered things: to the owner of the land, thearticle 716 cannot be applied in the event of discovery by a metal detector.
